Mukah Polytechnic. UiTM Sarawak Mukah campus was opened on 16 November 2015 in order to train enough manpower for Sarawak Corridor of Renewable Energy (SCORE). Its campus is located 7.5 km (4.7 mi) from the town centre.
Mukah aims to become a smart city focusing in education and information technology. Amongst projects that were planned in 2013 were: new Mukah Airport, Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) campus, and Mukah Science Park. Mukah Coal Fired power plant started operation in April 2009.
Mukah Campus. The UTS Mukah campus is currently under construction and once completed, it will be fully equipped with cutting-edge facilities that are specifically design to cater for the production of skilled workers in maritime industry. The campus is expected to be completed in 2024 and will offer two degree programmes, namely:
Mukah Division is one of the twelve administrative divisions in Sarawak, Malaysia. It was established on 1 March 2002 and it has a total area of 6,997.61 square kilometres. Mukah Division contains five administrative districts: Mukah, Dalat, Daro, Matu and Tanjung Manis District. The total population is 110,543.
Role as UiTM's learning centre. INTEC is one of the preparatory colleges in MARA University of Technology (UiTM). Due to its location in Seksyen 17, Shah Alam, it is also known to some people as UiTM Seksyen 17.
The Webometrics Ranking of World Universities places UTM in the fourth place in the South East Asia Region, and the top in Malaysia. In the QS University Rankings, it placed 100 in the "Engineering & Technology Universities" category among other world ranked universities in 2016 UTM aims to achieve the status of a global university and rank among 50 of the world's best universities by 2020.

The Dean in office is Professor Dr. Azmi Ibrahim, who assumed the role in 2010. Currently, the faculty consists of 89 academic staff, 24 admin and 40 technical staff.
UiTM Faculty of Law. UiTM Faculty of Law is one of the professional graduate faculties of UiTM and is located in Shah Alam, Malaysia. It is among the notable public premier law school in Malaysia. The current Dean of the faculty is Dr. Hartini Saripan, who assumed the role in 2018.
Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS) (English: University of Malaysia Sarawak) is a Malaysian public university located in Kota Samarahan, Sarawak. UNIMAS was officially incorporated on 24 December 1992. Recently, UNIMAS has been ranked among the top 200 in Asian University Rankings 2017 by QS World University Rankings.
