As noted, the RRB pays retirement annuities to employees, as well as their spouses and/or divorced spouses, if the employee had at least 10 years of railroad service, or 5 years if performed after 1995.
During the 2005 transit strike, both the strikers and the MTA violated portions of the Taylor Law.
