HCA Florida Sarasota Doctors Hospital (previously Doctors Hospital of Sarasota) is a 155-bed private health care facility located in Sarasota County, Florida. [1] The hospital was founded in 1967 and is a part of the HCA Healthcare hospital system.
The company employs over 8,200 staff and 1,920 physicians in their outpatient facilities and four hospitals. [citation needed] Mount Carmel East opened in 1972 near Reynoldsburg. [1]

Formed in 2013 from the merger of Scott & White Health with Baylor Healthcare System, it became the largest non-profit healthcare system in Texas and one of the largest in the country. [ 2 ] [ 3 ] Its network contains over 50 hospitals and more than 800 patient care sites. [ 4 ]

In 1996, the hospital moved to Overland Park, with the Stowers Institute acquiring the hospital's former site.
