The Reverend William Thomas Ross Flemington, CC (October 11, 1897 – July 10, 1971) was president of Mount Allison University (1945 to 1962) and the first New Brunswick ombudsman (1967 to 1971). He was principal chaplain overseas during World War II .

The Mount Allison Mounties football team represents Mount Allison University in Sackville, New Brunswick in the sport of Canadian football in U Sports.The Mounties program has been in continuous operation since 1955 when they played an exhibition schedule and then officially joined the New Brunswick Football League (NBFL) in 1956.
Sarah Hart married Sackville Dentist Dr. Edward Hart, a widower with three sons in 1914. She then had two children of her own before rejoining the Applied Arts faculty at Mount Allison in 1928, to teach wood carving which she taught until 1961. After her retirement she continued to paint with a local arts group.
For the next 30 years under a heavy teaching load, he sought to develop as an artist. During his years at Mount Allison he was also actively involved with the RCAF Squadron (1953–1963), where he organized and conducted winter training programs and served as commanding officer (1961–1963). He retired from teaching in the Spring of 1980.
He was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia and educated at Mount Allison University, McGill University, and Harvard University where he studied under Josiah Royce.He traveled to Germany and attended the University of Leipzig and finally the University of Göttingen, which is where he completed his doctoral studies under Edmund Husserl.
