Mount Allison’s campus is distinguished by its architecture, characterized by the distinctive red and olive sandstone that clads most of the buildings. The more prominent red sandstone was largely quarried in Sackville at the Pickard quarry, which was owned by the university from 1930 until it was sold to the Town of Sackville in 2022.

Built on July 1, 1988, an antenna on Monument Peak broadcasts channels 36 (KICU) and 54 (PBS, KQEH) until January 17, 2018. It is a free-standing structure 605.2 feet (184.5 meters) above ground level. [2] In the image above, the Monument Peak antenna is the tallest one seen (far right). The peak is the point directly right of the antenna.
In 1959 Pratt returned to Mount Allison University to complete in 1961 a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. During this period he began to make silkscreen prints. The early screen print Boat in Sand , 1961 in the National Gallery's collection was produced at this time and included in the Gallery's fourth Biennial Exhibition. [ 6 ]
