The Longyear Hall of Pedagogy (also known as just Longyear Hall) was an academic building located on Presque Isle Avenue, on the campus of Northern Michigan University in Marquette, Michigan.
Formerly North Maharashtra University, it was established on 15 August 1990 after separating from the parent University of Pune. [1] In 2001, the NAAC accredited the 4-star status to the university. [1] The university was re-accredited by NAAC as 'A'(CGPA 2.88 on 4 point scale) grade university. [2]
The university was founded in 1984 as Northwest Second Minzu University. [1] [5] In 2008, it was renamed to North Minzu University. [1] [5] There are over 21,000 master students, undergraduate students and preparatory students studying in NMU from 56 ethnic groups of 31 provinces. [1]
In 2011, His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej gave the permission to use the university name as Navamindradhiraj University (NMU), meaning the ninth monarch, referring to his majesty himself. [3] The bill to change university name was enacted on June 21, 2013.
