Loxahatchee Groves is a town in Palm Beach County, Florida, United States. The town was incorporated November 1, 2006, as the 38th municipality in Palm Beach County. The first election for town council members was held on March 13, 2007. The area had been settled since 1917, although Loxahatchee Groves did not become a municipality until 2006.
Loxahatchee is an unincorporated community in Palm Beach County, Florida, United States, located north of Wellington, and west and northwest of Royal Palm Beach, approximately 17 miles (27 km) west of West Palm Beach. Loxahatchee is also the name of the Post Office that serves this area, which is under the zip code of 33470.
The CDP is north of Royal Palm Beach, Wellington, and Loxahatchee Groves, and is approximately 18 miles (29 km) northwest of West Palm Beach. It straddles the western fringes of the highly developed eastern portion of Palm Beach County and the agricultural-rural western portions.
Portions of the Second Seminole War occurred in Palm Beach County, including the Battles of the Loxahatchee in 1838. The county's oldest surviving structure, the Jupiter Lighthouse, was built in 1860, after receiving authorization to the land from President Franklin Pierce in 1854.
Yesteryear Village at the South Florida Fairgrounds opened in 1990, when the Loxahatchee Groves Schoolhouse (built in 1934) was transported there. The village is an open air history park featuring several historic structures constructed between 1895 and 1945, including the Riddle House.

The Arthur R. Marshall Loxahatchee National Wildlife Refuge is a 145,188-acre (587.55 km 2) wildlife sanctuary is located west of Boynton Beach, in Palm Beach County, Florida. It is also known as Water Conservation Area 1 (WCA-1).
The Loxahatchee River (Seminole for river of turtles) is a 7.6 mile river near the southeast coast of Florida. It is a National Wild and Scenic River, one of only two in the state, and received its federal designation on May 17, 1985.
