This is a list of train stations served by Metro-North Railroad. This includes stations shared with NJTransit , but only those within New York State. Stations are listed in alphabetical order.
There are 124 stations [7] on Metro-North Railroad's five active lines, which operate on more than 787 miles (1,267 km) of track, [1] with the passenger railroad system totaling 385 miles (620 km) of route. [9]
Metro-North Railroad's West-of-Hudson service is operated by NJ Transit. NJ Transit owns the Pascack Valley Line right-of-way (ROW) and stations, which are leased to Metro-North. On the Port Jervis Line north of Suffern, Metro-North owns or leases the ROW under an agreement with Norfolk Southern Railway and operates the stations.
As of 2023, the system has 98 active stations on six lines with 129 miles (208 km) of tracks. The Washington Metro system was conceived as an alternative to constructing a large freeway system throughout the Washington, D.C. area.
All stations are operated by the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority. This list includes all rapid transit, light rail, and bus rapid transit (BRT) stations currently open on the MBTA's subway system. As of December 2022, the system has 153 stops and stations served by the Green, Blue, Red, Orange, and Silver lines.
