Strymonas ( Greek: Στρυμώνας) is a former municipality in the Serres regional unit, Greece. Since the 2011 local government reform it is part of the municipality Emmanouil Pappas, of which it is a municipal unit. [2] It is named after the river Strymonas. The municipal unit has an area of 120.383 km 2. [3] Population 5,222 (2021).

Emmanouil Pappas (Greek: Εμμανουήλ Παππάς) is a municipality in the Serres regional unit, Greece. The seat of the municipality is in Chryso . [2] The municipality takes its name after a local historical figure who played an important part as a leader in the Greek War of Independence against Ottoman rule.
