Check your display name: If you have any combination of "AOL" in your display name, the message won't go through. Remove your AOL account and set it up again in the Thunderbird email client. For more info on how to connect accounts, go to Thunderbird's website. Go to Tools | Account Settings. Select your account in the list. Go to Account Actions at the bottom left. Click Remove Accounts. Click Add Accounts and type in the email address and password.
