How to mark an article as a stub. After writing a short article, or finding an unmarked stub, you should insert a stub template. If you wish to propose a new stub category and template, please follow these procedures: Check the List of stub types or under Category:Stub categories to make sure that your proposed new stub does not already exist. List it at the top of the current month's section, under a header, like the ones shown (if any). Sign it with a datestamp (~~~~).
Expand a stub so that the stub tag can be removed. Check to see if articles listed here have been expanded since the { { tech-stub }} tag was added, and remove the stub tag. When appropriate, please sort stubs using a more specific template: Technology stubs. Biotechnology stubs. Communication stubs.
How is a stub identified? If possible, try to find the most appropriate stub template for the article. A full list can be found at Wikipedia:WikiProject Stub sorting/List of stubs. More than one stub template may be used, if necessary, though no more than four should be used on any article.
