Michael Gargiulo (journalist) Michael Louis Gargiulo (born February 12, 1960) is an American television news anchor at WNBC (News 4 New York), NBC ’s flagship station. He has anchored Today in New York with Darlene Rodriguez since 2008, and has been embedded with United States military units in Afghanistan, Iraq, Kuwait, and the Persian Gulf.
For most of the time during the News 4 New York era of the 1980s and early 1990s, WNBC-TV used various music cues created by Scott Schreer. [37] His theme for News 4 New York was based on a synthesized version of the NBC chimes, with a graphics package featuring a lightning bolt striking its logo from 1980 to 1990, a fancy die-cut "4".
