I've been using your archived wordle and I love it!!! One request: on wordle there is ability to play using "hard mode" which requires player to use any revealed hints in subsequent guesses. I'd like to practice using hard mode on some older puzzles and thought your archive would be perfect for that. Either way, thank you for the archive!!

It's the same as regular 5 lettered wordle but it generates an AI response to your game based on a "personality" that you can submit.
Strategy to solve wordle (almost) every time. Strategy. Use these 4 starting words in any order: FAKES. GLORY. CHIMP. BUNDT. These will cover all the common letters with no overlap. The last two guesses still require logical thinking to deduce which letters repeat, where they are placed, and if you need to add more letters.
One is used as a list of possible solutions, and contains only common words. The other is a much larger list of possible guesses. This solver (and starting word list) uses both in their appropriate places. Both word lists can be found in the Wordle source code, or in my solver git repository: solution words and guess words
I made a program go through and find every unique two word combination of the ~13k words that Wordle will accept as guesses. My program then figured out the average number of letters from all the answer words these two guesses would net you including separate counts for total found and exact matches. Total = yellow + green Exact = green
The ranking algorithm for this list is based on 3Blue1Brown's video about solving Wordle using information theory. It is the top 100 first guess words that are expected to produce the most information after your first two guesses. While all of these words are valid guesses, not all of them are possible solutions.

ADIEU is VERY over-rated as a starting word. Instead, try SALET, CRANE, or ROATE. On the average, you will be left with 123.7 words remaining after you play ADIEU. Instead, use SALET (71.3) or CRANE (78.8) or ROATE (60.5) Always different starts. Lately I’m using “nature” words like copse or Marsh or xylem or acorn.
