The Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) said its new MTA app is available for download. The app is still in Beta testing, but will eventually succeed the MYmta app.
MYmta, currently in a beta test phase, is available for download on Google Play and the Apple App Store.
Abnormal growth of prostate tissue is usually detected through screening tests, typically blood tests that check for prostate-specific antigen (PSA) levels. Those with high levels of PSA in their blood are at increased risk for developing prostate cancer. Diagnosis requires a biopsy of the prostate.
A beta version of the app was launched on July 2, 2018, and as of June 2019 is still undergoing beta testing. While other applications exist which serve similar functions, MYmta is an all-in-one source for data provided directly by the MTA.
While PSA testing may help 1 in 1,000 avoid death due to prostate cancer, 4 to 5 in 1,000 would die from prostate cancer after 10 years even with screening. This means that PSA screening may reduce mortality from prostate cancer by up to 25%.
