Metro-North Railroad's West-of-Hudson service is operated by NJ Transit. NJ Transit owns the Pascack Valley Line right-of-way (ROW) and stations, which are leased to Metro-North. On the Port Jervis Line north of Suffern, Metro-North owns or leases the ROW under an agreement with Norfolk Southern Railway and operates the stations.

The Los Angeles Metro Rail is an urban rail transit system serving Los Angeles County, California in the United States. It consists of six lines: four light rail lines (the A, C, E and K lines) and two rapid transit (known locally as a subway) lines (the B and D lines), serving a total of 101 stations.

The preferred route for Metro West ran from Tallaght to Metro North at Dardistown, via Clondalkin, Liffey Valley and Blanchardstown.
