South Norwalk station is a commuter rail station in Norwalk, Connecticut, served by the Metro-North Railroad's New Haven Line. It is owned and managed by the Norwalk Transit District. The station is the point where the New Haven Line's Danbury Branch connects to the Northeast Corridor, as well as a peak-hour terminal for some express trains.
Fairfield–Black Rock station, formerly Fairfield Metro, is a commuter rail station on the Metro-North Railroad New Haven Line, located in the town of Fairfield, Connecticut. It opened as an infill station on December 5, 2011, and was renamed in June 2024.
On February 15, 2012, Metro-North completed the expansion project of the station. The new facility includes an overpass extension that ties the original station east of the tracks with a new entrance on the west side off NY 9A near the VA Hospital, new parking and a landscaped, canopy-covered, intermodal drop-off plaza.

The Naugatuck Railroad opened from Milford north to Seymour in May 1849, with the extension to Waterbury opening the next month. [4] The original wooden station was replaced in 1898 by a buff brick station, now demolished.
