The system is one of the largest university transit systems in the United States and carries over 5.2 million passengers a year. The UT Shuttle network is open to the public but UT students, faculty, and staff receive free transportation on it as well as on all standard CapMetro Bus services. Other passengers pay standard CapMetro Bus fares.
