Murang'a District (formerly Fort Hall District) was one of the districts of Kenya's Central Province. Its capital town was also now named Murang'a (also formerly Fort Hall). It is inhabited mainly by and is considered the home of the Kikuyu, the largest community in Kenya.
He attended Murang'a Township Primary School (now Vidhu Ramji Primary School) between 1986 and 1993. He was admitted to Thika High School in 1994, where in 1997 he qualified for admission to the University of Nairobi for a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) degree. He was among the top students.
