So to access the xfinity gateway administrator login page you need to go into a browser type in 10.x.x.1 (x can be replaced with whatever number was set as the ip) and normally a login screen to the modems admin settings SHOULD appear. For thr past week, however, i have been unable to access the login page. It just times out.
I went to the instructions you gave, and it's all about changing a wifi SSID and password, but of course, I need to log into the gateway's router portion to do this. Resetting the gateway is the last thing I want to do, since it's running fine. (BTW, I don't want to change anything, I just got curious and want to log into the gateway, but can't.)
