Kohat. / 33.583°N 71.433°E / 33.583; 71.433. Kohat ( Pashto: کوهاټ; Urdu: کوہاٹ) is a city that serves as the capital of the Kohat District in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. It is regarded as a centre of the Bangash tribe of Pashtuns, who have lived in the region since the late 15th century. [4]
At the time of the 2017 census, the district had 132,985 households and a population of 1,111,266. Kohat had a sex ratio of 999 females per 1000 males and a literacy rate was 58.59% - 77.75% for males and 39.96% for females. 269,926 (24.29%) lived in urban areas. 28.66% of the population were under 10 years of age.
BISE Peshawar was established in 1961 by the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
