Conestoga College Institute of Technology and Advanced Learning is a public college located in Kitchener, Ontario, Canada. History [ edit ] In 1967, the college was founded as Conestoga College of Applied Arts and Technology by the government of Ontario to grant diplomas and certificates in career-related, skills-oriented programs.
Conestoga has eight academic departments: Business/Technology, English, World Languages, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, Visual and Performing Arts, and Wellness/Fitness/Family & Consumer Science. BERWYN, PA — A dozen students from Conestoga High School have been named winners of corporate-sponsored National Merit Scholarships.
Scholars were selected from students who advanced to the Finalist level in the National Merit Scholarship competition and met the criteria of their scholarship sponsors.
The National Merit Scholarship Corporation has released the names of the first group of winners in the 61st annual National Merit Scholarship Program, and several local students are on the list.
Loyalist College was founded in 1967 as part of a provincial initiative to create many such institutions to provide career-oriented diploma and certificate courses, as well as continuing education programs to Ontario communities.
