The Transit Access Pass (TAP) is a contactless smart card used for automated fare collection on most public transport agencies within Los Angeles County, California. The card is also available in electronic form, free of charge, in Apple Wallet, thereby bypassing the need to purchase the plastic USD $2 card.
Discounted or free fares are available for seniors, disabled individuals, Medicare recipients, low-income individuals, and students. The primary method of payment for Metro fares is the TAP card, a contactless stored-value card. TAP cards are valid on Metro buses and trains, and on 25 other transit agencies in Los Angeles County.
MYmta is a mobile application-based passenger information display system developed by the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) of New York City. A beta version of the app was launched on July 2, 2018, and as of June 2019 [update] is still undergoing beta testing .
The MTA is currently testing another service, MYAAR, that will let paratransit users schedule a ride, track the vehicle's location and provide feedback within the MYmta app.
