James Chadwick was an English physicist who discovered the neutron in 1932 and worked on the Manhattan Project during World War II. He studied under Ernest Rutherford at the University of Manchester and the University of Cambridge, and wrote the MAUD Report that inspired the U.S. atom bomb research.
