The University of Malaya Medical Centre (UMMC) (Malay: Pusat Perubatan Universiti Malaya, abbr: PPUM), formerly known as University Hospital, is a government-funded teaching hospital and medical instructions located in Pantai Dalam, southwest corner of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
PJ City Bus free ride service also has a stop in University Malaya Medical Centre (PPUM) and can be accessed from the PJ gate. Other rapidKL bus services may stop at PPUM. The proposed CC33 UM on MRT Circle Line is planned to be built inside the campus, near PPUM.
History. Hospital Canselor Tuanku Muhriz UKM has an interlinked history with the Faculty of Medicine, UKM. The faculty was formed on 30 May 1972. This faculty started the premedical course at the Faculty of Sciences, Main Campus of UKM at Jalan Pantai Baru, Kuala Lumpur in May 1973. The first batch numbering up to 44 students attended the course.
