Mount Allison University (also Mount A or MtA) is a Canadian primarily undergraduate liberal arts university located in Sackville, New Brunswick, founded in 1839. Mount Allison was the first university in the British Empire to award a baccalaureate to a woman ( Grace Annie Lockhart, B.Sc., 1875).

The Mount Allison Mounties women's ice hockey program represents the Mount Allison University in Sackville, New Brunswick, in the Atlantic University Sport conference of U Sports. The Mounties play at Tantramar Veterans Memorial Civic Centre.
John Humphrey applied to Mount Allison University at the age of 15 from the Rothesay Collegiate School and was accepted. He transferred to McGill University and lived with his sister Ruth who was a teacher in Montreal, Quebec.
