Since September 2017, all MTA Bridges & Tunnels facilities have collected tolls through open-road cashless tolling. Tollbooths previously in place have been dismantled, and drivers no longer pay cash at the crossings.

The $15 toll will take effect at 9 a.m. Low-income drivers can apply for a congestion toll discount on the MTA website, and disabled people can apply for exemptions.
Tolls. As of August 6, 2023, drivers pay $8.25 per car or $4.71 per motorcycle for tolls by mail/non-NYCSC E-Z Pass. E-ZPass users with transponders issued by the New York E‑ZPass Customer Service Center pay $3.18 per car or $2.17 per motorcycle. Mid-Tier NYCSC E-Z Pass users pay $5.04 per car or $3.46 per motorcycle.
Congestion toll rates would apply from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m. on weekdays and 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on weekends. There are discounts available for low-income drivers and others.
