Today is a bad day to be trying to connect to an American Express Savings account under "American Express - Banking". Every month on the 28th, AmEx is recording the monthly interest deposit to all their savings accounts. For that purpose, AmEx seems to have temporarily restricted access to their servers, even from their credit cards website.
The new problems with the reverted changes so far is 1) after the "Direct Connect" authorization process Quicken is still internally using the new “Express Web Connect+” authorization for American Express even though “Direct Connect” was chosen and 2) the second American Express credit card (corporate card in my case) still is not ...

And I did not download AMEX savings transactions - I have not set that up in Quicken - they were downloaded and assigned to my AMEX credit card account. Then because I use the "transfer" function within quicken - those transactions that were recorded as ...
I'm having the same issue with my American Express personal loan. It was working fine until I had to reauthorize due to the new connection method. I used one login to see my Amex credit cards and personal loan together. Now, with the reauthorize that had to be done, I can only see an option for the credit cards and not the personal loan.
After hours of attempts (the app still crashes frequently- at least 5-8 times during a ~ 20 minute use session) I finally have every connection fully re-established except Amex. With them I have both a credit card and a savings account that gets accessed through the same user ID and PW. Unfortunately, Quicken only finds the savings account and ...
