The University of Saskatchewan ( U of S, or USask) is a Canadian public research university, founded on March 19, 1907, and located on the east side of the South Saskatchewan River in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada. An "Act to establish and incorporate a University for the Province of Saskatchewan" was passed by the provincial legislature in 1907.
The GRP provides a refund up to $20,000 of tuition fees paid by eligible graduates who live in Saskatchewan and who file a Saskatchewan income tax return. It remains to be seen which, if any, of the recommendations of the McCall report will be implemented by the new government.

Admissions. Tuition for September 2015 was $12,255.00 and mandatory student fees will be $805.89, for a total of $13,060.89. The cost of books and supplies is estimated at $2500.00. The 2015 entering class averaged a 3.34 GPA and 159 LSAT.
During the 30s, the tuition fees was raised. The College adopted the coat of arms, and new programs were incorporated (chemical engineering in 1931, and Geological and engineering physics in 1937). The 1940s brought more changes, due to the value of engineering to war effort, the College became the largest on campus for the first time.
The four schools that make up Saskatchewan Polytechnic started off as four individual schools. The Moose Jaw campus started off as the Saskatchewan Technical Institute in 1959. Saskatoon began as the Central Saskatchewan Technical Institute in 1963. Regina began as the Saskatchewan Institute of Applied Arts and Sciences in 1972.
St. Thomas More College (STM), named for St. Thomas More, is the only federated college at the University of Saskatchewan. The college was established by the Basilian Fathers in 1936, on the invitation of the president of the University of Saskatchewan to the Catholic bishop of Saskatoon.
