The New York City Transit Authority (also known as NYCTA, the TA, or simply Transit, and branded as MTA New York City Transit) is a public-benefit corporation in the U.S. state of New York that operates public transportation in New York City.
The MTA has developed several official web and mobile apps for its subway and bus services, and also provides data to private app developers to create their own unofficial MTA apps. In 2012, the MTA officially released the Subway Time app, which uses subway countdown clock data to determine the next-train arrival times on seven services. [93]

OMNY can currently be used to pay fares at all New York City Subway and Staten Island Railway stations, on all MTA buses, AirTrain JFK, Metro North 's Hudson Rail Link, and on the Roosevelt Island Tram; when completely rolled out, it will also replace the MetroCard on Bee-Line buses, and NICE buses.

NEW YORK CITY — Fare thee well, MetroCards — the contactless OMNY payment system soon will give straphangers unlimited trips after 12 taps.
The apps extend small short-term loans to workers in between paychecks so they can pay bills and meet everyday needs. On payday, the user repays the money out of their wages.
The contactless payment option, known as OMNY, will be available at the Sutphin Boulevard-Archer Avenue E/J/Z subway station starting next month, the transit authority announced Tuesday.
A salary statement, commonly called a payslip, pay stub, paystub, pay advice, or sometimes paycheck stub or wage slip, is a document received by an employee that either includes a notice that the direct deposit transaction has gone through or that is attached to the paycheck.
A pay stub contains all your income information, so it’s a great tool for tracking your salary, the taxes you’ve paid, insurance premium amounts, bonus information and vacation and overtime pay.
