RTS1 is the oldest television station in Serbia, launched on 23 August 1958 as Televizija Beograd. It is available nationally free-to-air and is the most watched television channel in the country beating the other two most popular television networks in Serbia, RTV Pink and Prva.

It was the first TV station in Serbia to start broadcasting on the internet by making selected news programmes available for download and streaming on their website. It eventually introduced the BK Player, a media player designed to play BK TV program live on the Internet 24 hours a day.
The SerbianTV-America programming is available in North America on the Galaxy-19 (DTH) direct-to-home satellite platform and on the NexTV-America Internet television platform. SerbianTV-America intends to be available on some of the major cable networks.
