One of the top reasons a user can't find their emails is due to settings from a third-party email client such as Outlook or the Mail app on your phone. Chances are the settings in the program are set to delete the emails from the AOL server each time you check your mail.
Sign in to your AOL account to access your email and manage your account information.
If you recently changed your AOL password, you'll need to update it in the email client you use. Find your application's "Email Accounts" or "Account Settings" section, select your AOL Mail account, then update to your new password.

1. Launch AOL Desktop Gold. 2. On the sign on screen, click the small arrow pointing down. 3. Click Add Username. 4. Type in another username and click Continue.Enter your password in the window that appears.
Use Sign-in Helper, AOL's password reset and account recovery tool, to get back in to your account. Go to the Sign-in Helper. Enter one of the account recovery items listed. Click Continue. Follow the instructions given in the Sign-in Helper. Change your password. From a desktop or mobile web browser: Sign in to the AOL Account security page.
Verified for version 4.4 and later. 1. Open the Settings app. 2. Tap Apps. 3. Tap AOL. 4. Tap Force Stop. 5. If prompted, tap Force Stop again to confirm. 6. Relaunch the app and attempt to reproduce the issue.
