In April 2018, the MTA started testing MYmta, which provides arrival information for MTA railroad, subway, and bus routes; escalator and elevator outage information; and real-time service changes.
MYmta is a mobile application -based passenger information display system developed by the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) of New York City. A beta version of the app was launched on July 2, 2018, and as of June 2019 is still undergoing beta testing.
In June 2008, NYCT announced it had reached 10,000 daily visitors to TripPlanner. Since the announcement, the number of visits to the service eclipsed the number of telephone calls to the agency's travel information hotline.
Both the app and the website, new.mta.info, show commuters the nearest subway and bus stops as well as real-time arrival information, which is currently displayed on subway countdown clocks...
The Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) said its new MTA app is available for download. The app is still in Beta testing, but will eventually succeed the MYmta app.
New app users can download it through the App Store or check new.mta.info from computers. Officials plan to release it on the Google Play Store next month, according to a release.
